The first Tonal project was a four track disc released in 2005 under the artist name Alamein. The gloomy 'Rhetorical Question EP' was the soundtrack for your worst day. When nothing went right, when you hated your boss, when you were feeling alone and isolated, Tonal was there to blast your pain away with thick, flappy bass, and loose, organic, 'don't give a sh*t' textures.
The initial pressing went quickly, and the project found a life being licensed in movies and TV.
Watch out for the new release.

Simon J. Hunter focuses on what he excels at: bringing sonic sophistication to stunning visuals.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Simon relocated to Los Angeles, quickly becoming one of the most in-demand composers for film and television.
His work can often be heard in over 130 countries on hit dramas such as CSI and CSI NY as well as movie trailers for Iron Man, Hulk, and Wanted, among others. Kurt Vonnegut collaborated with Hunter in creating an other-worldy, musical interpretation of Slaughterhouse Five entitled "Tock Tick" featuring Mr. Vonnegut's vocals. In 2006 Hunter created "Simonic Boom", dedicated to providing tastemaker music and sound design to movie trailer producers.
